Medi-Air is one of our very new product launched on October 2010. It is a pneumatic cushion for wheelchair users made of rubber bags.
There are two types in the Medi-Air Series, Medi-Air 1 and Medi-Air Sky.

Medi-Air 1 is an air cell cushion with an automatic pressure relief function, which is made up of individual rubber air cells that automatically adjust inner pressure. It enables pressure to the user's posterior to be mitigated, thereby preventing a reduction in blood flow. In addition, it realizes optimal pressure distribution as the air cell automatically changes its shape to conform to the user's individual body shape and weight. Medi-Air 1 has a built-in motor and air valves and it comes with a battery which can be placed anywhere around your wheelchair. A built-in sensor located near the hipbone constantly monitors inner pressure to prevent bottoming out. When the body shifts to one side, it automatically pumps in air to the group of air cells in areas of concentrated body weight to correct body posture. Soft rubber is used for the sensor to mitigate the impact to the posterior.

Medi-Air Sky is an air cell cushion with built-in bottoming out alert system, which is made up of individual rubber air cells that can be inflate or deflate by manual rubber pump. Air secitions are divided into two groups and you adjust the inner air amount manually. The auditory alarm is activated when the bottoming out occurs. You pump the air to each sections to fit your body shape. You need 2 pcs of AA dry batteries for the alarm. Coming with the original manual pump case which can be placed in front of the cushion.
